Time Allocation

As i have other things to do such as University Assignments, i need to make sure i schedule time-spent on developing this website. I've planned a goal of roughly 1-2 hours per day/every other day so i can work through development at a nice and steady pace. For the first few weeks i also plan to designate to the frontend development until there is a good enough of a base as i prefer to be able to see everything that i would actually need in the backend before potentially developing stuff i wont use.

Wireframing (Web Design)

Before i made the switch to making this a fully-fledged portfolio i previously decided on it only being a blog so i was looking at designs for that on dribbble.com and i found a few that looked nice and would still fit in with this project. I wanted the site to look both minamilisitic and professional while being simple. I designed 3 pages for my website to help give me a better understanding of the look and feel i wanted for the website I designed the homepage, blogs and panel (a place a logged in user can add/edit blogs and projects) as a projects page would be a similar layout to blogs i didn't feel the need to design that.

Initial development

As the week was nearing the end i decided to finish the week by confirming i was happy with my colour scheme and creating the first page (index) and a navigation component. as my focus right now is not to have an over-the-top website i went with developing a simple page.
